[Poetry] Army of the Forest

This poem has a sort of special meaning of my childhood.  It's short, but it reminds me of so much.  So much unsaid adventure.

Army of the Forest

Today, I walked

outside and remembered:

The forest beside

my old house,

its leaf carpet,

the fortress that housed

us.
